CVA-400 is designed to inspect various kinds of micro cuboid devices, such as MLCC, MLCI, chip resistors, diodes, LED, QFN, and even nuts. It can measure dimensions and identify kinds of defects. Parts handling is through use of bowl / linear feeders, and patented guides to place the devices on the glass table. The proximity sensor then records the device position and trigger cameras to capture images when the part passes the camera/light. The vision algorithm analyzes the images from 6 cameras and makes the decision in 7 ms. The hardware gets the sorting result and eject the device to the target bin by high-pressure air. The overall processing speed is 5000 pcs/min in average. The friendly UI lowers the efforts on setup and monitoring, and can be customized upon request.

The demo DUT is the QFN chip in 3 mm x 3 mm and the feeding speed is around 1000 pcs/min. The bowl feeder arranges the chips and only feeds those ones with downward electrodes.

The demo DUT is 0201 MLCC and the feeding speed is around 5000 pcs/min. The ejector is programmed to blow one chip out of two, and ignores both if they are too close.
