Company Introduction

We are installing our factory for briquetting using sawdust and carbonizing at Sapele, in the wood region of Southern Nigeria. The area is awash with the raw materials and we are targeting production at the end of the year. On installation we would be capable of producing 8-9MT/24hrs.

The process of BRIQUETTING is the physical transformation of the loose raw materials into a compactly compressed unit. The form change result in a much higher specific density of the material which increases its combustion efficiency compared to the loose material.

In terms of the environment, our business will utilize large quantities of these materials that would reduce the problems of dumps and the current activity of indiscriminate burning of sawdust. Our product will be environmentally friendly.

Briquette fuel is an ideal and ready substitutes for firewood, lignite etc. and easily replaces these conventional fuels for heating, steam generation etc. The fuel offers numerous advantages mentioned below, other consistent quality and economic prices.

i) High Calorific Value ranging from between 3500-5000 KCals/kgs depending on material.
ii) Low Ash Content of 2-10% as compared to 20-40% in coal
iii) Non Polluting as it does not emit any sulphur or phosphorous fumes and fly ash, eliminating the need for expensive pollution control equipment.
iv) Efficient as the fuel is ideally sized in 40 mm square x 300-400mm long for complete combustion.
v) Ease of Handling and Storage due to its size and as it can be packed in bags and pallets thereby reducing labour costs in handling, sorting and breaking.
vi) Clean to handle and keeps the surrounding environment clean.
vii) Availability of the fuel is better as it is usually produced near the consumption centers, reducing cost of storage and space.
viii) Cheaper than coal as it utilizes wastes and residues usually disposed off at NO or LOW costs.

We are seeking forward contract from prospective wholesalers and retailers. The contract could include details and samples of packages.
